Kakkadampoyil is a hill area on the Kozhikode–Malappuram side of the Western Ghats. Kerala Tourism describes it as being about 50 km from Kozhikode and near Nilambur, with Kozhippara Waterfalls nearby. Sylvan Hills is at Valamthod, Kakkadampoyil.

From Kozhikode

The common road approach is through the eastern side of Kozhikode district toward Koodaranhi and Kakkadampoyil. Exact travel time varies with your starting point, traffic and rain. Use live navigation on the day of travel and ask the resort for the most suitable final approach to Valamthod.

From Nilambur and Malappuram

Kakkadampoyil can also be approached from the Nilambur side. Kerala Tourism places Kakkadampoyil around 24 km from Nilambur, while the DTPC lists Nilambur Bus Stand about 28 km from Kozhippara Waterfalls. Route conditions can change during heavy rain, so confirm locally before setting out.

By rail or air

Your best rail or airport choice depends on the rest of your itinerary. Kozhikode and Nilambur both provide onward road connections. If arriving by air, compare the road route from Calicut International Airport with the route from your chosen rail station before booking a transfer.
